Walter & Jon formed Avalanche in early 1993 as a reunion idea from an earlier band called Alliance When you think about the aggression in music today, the intensity, the anger ,the hatred, It's easy to see why a band like Avalanche would thrive in its atmosphere. Five guys raised on brutality since childhood. Influences like Slayer, Testament, Forbidden, & Exodus are just a few points of light in an otherwise blackened universe of music. Using this style as a focal point Avalanche has sought out new ways to aggravate an already salted wound. There Relentless riffs and political viewpoints with a groove that can't be ignored. Avalanche; the name itself invokes fear of being crushed to death. The band will do the same.
