FRAGMENT OF SYMMETRY. Kraftvoll. Melodisch. Progressiv. Die Band verbindet unterschiedliche musikalische Ansätze miteinander: Anspruchsvolles mit Eingänglichem. Orchestrales mit Rhythmisch-Brachialem. Das Bombastische der Filmmusik mit dem Düsteren des Metals. Melodiöses mit Progressivem - Einprägsamer Fluss mit komplexen Details.

Während die Rhythmusfraktion, Gitarren und Drums, vor allem vom Progressive Metal der 90er und dem Metal der 80er Jahre beeinflusst sind, orientieren sich Gesang, Keyboards und Programming mehr an melodiösen Elementen sowie der klassischen Musik. Aus dieser Vereinigung von Gegensätzlichem entsteht eine Song-Symbiose, ein eigenständiger und eigenwilliger Musikstil, der sich am ehesten als „Symphonic Progressive Metal" beschreiben lässt.

FRAGMENT OF SYMMETRY. Das sind: Sängerin Janine Hulliger, Gitarrist Thomy Eberhard, Keyboarder Steff Isch, Bassist Andy Eberhard, Drummer Stefan Wild. Die Band wurde 2003 gegründet – damals noch in einer ganz anderen Formation. Seit 2008 spielen die Fünf in der aktuellen Zusammensetzung. Nach mehreren erfolgreich absolvierten Konzerten (u.a. in der «MET-Bar» in Lenzburg, im Improvisorium Huttwil sowie am «Bang for Beer - Festival» in Neuenegg) hat die fünfköpfige Band aus Langenthal (BE/CH) mit „BEYOND THE DREAMS" 2009 nun ihr Debütalbum vorgelegt. Darauf haben FRAGMENT OF SYMMETRY neun gleichwohl bombastische wie faszinierend verspielte Soundwerke geschaffen, welche sich über sanft geschwungene Klanglandschaften und durch düstere, bedrohliche Songwelten in sphärische Höhen aufschwingen, dorthin, wo diese musikalische Reise hinter die Träume ihre Vollendung findet.

FRAGMENT OF SYMMETRY. Powerful. Melodic. Progressive. The band covers a wide musical spectrum, reaching from sophisticated to catchy tunes, from orchestral to rhythmic-brute sounds, from bombastic film score to bleak metal, from melodious to progressive elements and from catchy flows to complex details.

Whereas the rhythmical fraction, the guitars and drums, are mainly influenced by the progressive metal of the 90s and the metal of the 80s, keyboards and programming are geared to melodious elements and classical music. The result of this combination of seeming opposites is a song symbiosis of a discrete and idiosyncratic music style, which is best described as "symphonic progressive metal".

FRAGMENT OF SYMMETRY consist of singer Janine Hulliger, guitarist Thomy Eberhard, keyboarder Steff Isch, bassist Andy Eberhard and drummer Stefan Wild. The band was founded in a slightly different formation in 2003. Since 2008 the band has been made up of the current members. After many successful concerts (e.g. in the MET-Bar in Lenzburg, the Improvisorium in Huttwil or at the Bang 4 Beer Festival in Neuenegg), the band now produced its debut album BEYOND THE DREAMS. On this album FRAGMENT OF SYMMETRY created nine bombastic and fascinating songs which soar up through soft soundscapes and dark, ominous realms of music to spherical heights where this musical journey is finally accomplished beyond the dreams.
