Jesus On Extasy

Jesus on Extasy is a German industrial/alternative rock band formed in 2005 in Essen, Germany. The band was founded by cousins Dorian Deveraux (vocals, programming) and Chai Deveraux (guitar, programming). Initially operating as a duo and using drum machines, the project combined electronic structures with rock and industrial elements.

In late 2006, Jesus on Extasy expanded into a full band with the addition of Ophelia DAX (keyboards), BJ (drums) and Andrea Odendahl (guitar), resulting in a more layered and guitar-driven sound. The debut album Holy Beauty was released in 2007 via Drakkar Entertainment, followed by Beloved Enemy (2008), No Gods (2010) and The Clock (2011).

After a period of reduced activity, the band resumed work in the early 2020s and continues to release new material. In 2025, Jesus on Extasy released the album Between Despair and Disbelief through Metropolis Records.

The band’s sound blends industrial rock, alternative rock and electronic music, characterized by heavy synthesizers, distorted guitars and dark yet melodic vocals.
