DRIVEN UNDER Band Biographie

Das Metal Schwergewicht Driven Under aus Schaffhausen, bestieg 2009 den Ring der Schweizer Rock- und Metalszene und prügelt sich seither erfolgreich immer weiter nach oben an die Spitze.

Nach einigen Musikerwechsel, die nicht nur zum heutigen Bandnamen, sondern auch zum heutigen Stilmix ihrer Musik führte, steht das Quartett (Gesang: Patric Bouffé, Gitarre: Steven Hohl, Bass: Dani Gebert, Schlagzeug: Fabian Koch) in der heutigen Formation seit Anfang 2016 fest auf den Brettern.

Im Sommer 2014 wurde die erste EP „Hands in Chains“ mit sechs Songs veröffentlicht, die es sogar ins deutsche Musikmagazin „Metal Hammer“ mit positiver Resonanz schaffte. Der erste Rundumschlag war also getan.

Weitere positive Reaktionen von internationalen Metal Radiostationen und Magazinen aus Südamerika, USA und Grossbritannien führten dazu, dass Driven Under schon als Vorgruppe von „Pentagram“ (USA), „Atreyu“ (USA), „Killing Joke“ (GB) und „Eluveitie“ (CH) in der Schweiz das Publikum anheizen durften.

Ein Album war die logische Folge einer solch erfolgreichen EP und so wurden neue Songs geschrieben. Ihr erstes Album „Face to Face“ erblickte im August 2016 das Scheinwerferlicht der Ringarena. Harte Riffs, dynamische Beats und Songtexte, die von den Problemen des heutigen Lebens erzählen und eine Bühnenshow mit diversen Showeinlagen, reissen noch immer die Massen mit und animieren zum Headbangen und Mitfeiern.

Nur wenige Tage nach dem offiziellen Release des Albums „Face to Face“, tauchte der Silberling auch auf den illegalen Plattformen wie z.B. in China, USA, Russland, Italien auf und erfreute sich auch dort grosser Beliebtheit.

Noch im August 2016 kam dann eine Anfrage aus Russland für eine eigene Headliner Clubtour durch Russland. Nach langer und intensiver Planung ging’s dann im April 2017 für 18 Tage nach Russland. Und nach 15 Shows und 7205km(!) im kleinen Tourbus durch das westliche Russland, kam Driven Under mit vielen neuen Erfahrungen und Eindrücken, neuen Fans und Songideen zurück.

Zurzeit arbeiten Driven Under hart am zweiten Album und ihrem weiteren Erfolg auf dem Weg nach oben.Denn wer zum Champion gekrönt werden will, muss alles geben.

The leading metal band Driven Under from Schaffhausen joined the arena of the Swiss rock and metal scene in 2009 and has successfully fought his way up to the top ever since.
After several changes of band members that resulted in today’s band name as well as in their mix of music styles, the quartet consisting of Patric Bouffé (vocals), Steven Hohl (guitar), Dani Gebert (bass) and Fabian Koch (drums) rock the stage together since the beginning of 2016.
In summer 2014, the first EP “Hands in Chains” including six songs got published and even gained a quite positive response in the German music magazine “Metal Hammer”. Thus, the first round was a hit.
More positive feedback from international metal radio stations and magazines from southern America, the USA and Great Britain have given the opportunities to support various artists as pre-band, such as “Pentagram” (USA), “Atreyu” (USA), “Killing Joke” (GB) and “Eluveitie” (CH) and heat up their audience in Switzerland.
So the only logical consequence of such a successful EP was a proper album and new songs. Our first album “Face to Face” first saw the spot light in August 2016. Hard riffs, dynamic beats and song texts about problems of nowadays life as well as a stage show with diverse performances thrill the crowds and encourages them to headbang and party.
Only a few days after the official release of the album “Face to Face”, it appeared on illegal platforms, for example, in China, the USA, Russia and Italy where it enjoyed great popularity.
Still in august 2016, Driven Under received a request from Russia for a headliner club tour. After a long and intense planning, we toured through Russia for 18 days in April 2017. And after 15 shows and 7,205 km (!) through western Russia in a tiny tour bus, Driven Under came back with lots of new experiences, memories, fans and ideas for songs.
At the moment, Driven Under is working on their second album and further success on their way to the very top. Because champions need to work hard to defend their throne.
