Consumed By Vultures

Consumed By Vultures are a Swiss death metal band formed in 2013. The band was started from Alex Medici on the voice and Mattia La Delfa on Guitar/Bass/DrumMachine. The name of the band is inspired by a traditional Tibetan funeral ritual, the sky burial, where the skinned bodies of the dead are offered to the vultures as the final act of generosity by the deceased. The project was born out of a passion for Metal of the two founders and the desire to express themselves through music.

The Demo, recorded at the recording studio "Optinervear Studio" in November 2013, consisting of two tracks "Sky Burial" and "Natural Selection", allowed to launch the project and find new members to complete the band. In January 2014, the group reached its full formation with Nereo Costantini on drums, Timoteo Costantini on second guitar, Simone Di Cerbo on second voice and Simone Waber on bass.

2015, the group is recorded by Giona Spinelli at the "Brainscan Studios” recording studio of Riva San Vitale (CH).

On October 31, 2015, a concert of Heavy Demons, a renowned group of Death Thrash Metal , Consumed By Vultures presents in front of the public in Lugano the release of Ep "Demonstration of Negative Way".

The Disc is composed of 6 tracks that have a common theme: the dualism of man. The texts tell of facts actually happened, where man is the dark side of duality. In the song "Gray Man" is quoted Albert Fish, one of the most famous serial killers in American history.

Late 2016 Simone Waber leaves the Band and after some researches, on May 2017, the band is joined by Matteo Valenti on Bass Guitar.

1st September 2017 the band release his first Album called "In Eterno". The album deals with the growth of a man from birth to death by deepening his mental evolution with metaphors and places an emphasis on the dualism of the human being, thus deepening the EP theme . "In Eterno" has been recorded at the Brainscan Studios in Swiss and Cryptopsy's guitar player takes care of the mix/master on his studios "The Grid" in Canada. The album is published under Nice To Eat You Records and Amputated Veins Records.

17 September 2017 the band goes on European tour to present the new album, the tour passes through Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland. They play with some big bands like Craniotomy, Epicardiectomy and Oral Fistfuck. The band gets a good response. Now they are trying to get on big festivals stage around Europe.

I Consumed By Vultures sono un gruppo Brutal Death Metal formatosi nel 2013 in Ticino, Svizzera, da Alex Medici alla voce e Mattia La Delfa alla chitarra, basso e programmazione della batteria. Il nome della band è ispirato a un tradizionale rito funebre tibetano, la sepoltura celeste, dove i corpi scuoiati dei defunti vengo offerti agli avvoltoi come atto finale di generosità da parte del defunto. Il progetto è nato da una passione per il Metal accumunava i due fondatori e dalla voglia di esprimersi attraverso la musica.

La Demo, registrata presso lo studio di registrazione “Optinervear Studio” nel novembre del 2013, composta da due tracce “Sky Burial” e “Natural Selection”, ha permesso di lanciare il progetto e trovare nuovi membri per completare la band. A gennaio del 2014 il gruppo raggiunge la sua formazione completa con Nereo Costantini alla batteria, Timoteo Costantini alla seconda chitarra, Simone Di Cerbo alla seconda voce e Simone Waber al basso. Da subito la band ha iniziato a produrre nuove tracce per la produzione dell’Ep, imparando a conoscersi come musicisti e instaurando un legame di amicizia. Il 9 agosto del 2014 la band fa il suo debutto in un locale a Davesco (CH) come gruppo spalla ai “Miasma”, un gruppo Brutal Death Metal svizzero.

Dopo questo primo concerto i Consumed By Vultures vengono chiamati per partecipare ad altri eventi in Ticino, uno di questi è stato il “Borderland Metal Fest 2” che ha visto come headliner i “Corpsefucking Art”un consolidato gruppo Death Metal italiano.A inizio ottobre 2014 il gruppo viene registrato da Giona Spinelli presso lo studio di registrazione “Brain Scan Studio” di Riva San Vitale (CH). Come già avvenuto per la creazione del logo ufficiale della band, i Consumed By Vultures si affidano al talentuoso artista indonesiano “Rudi Ianto” per l’artwork di questo Ep.

Il 31 ottobre 2015 durate un concerto degli Heavy Demons, rinomato gruppo Death Thrash Metal ticinese, i Consumed By Vultures presentano davanti al pubblico luganese l’uscita dell’ Ep “Demonstration of negative way”.
Il Disco è composto da 6 tracce che hanno un tema comune: il dualismo dell’uomo. I testi narrano di fatti realmente accaduti, dove l’uomo rappresenta il lato oscuro della dualità. Nel brano“Gray Man” viene citato Albert Fish, uno dei killer seriali più noti della storia americana. Attualmente la band sta lavorando per la realizzazione del suo primo album, la cui uscita è prevista per il 2017.
