Koenix – The impulsive music of the Middle-Ages
Koenix, a group of young Swiss musicians, play their loud an impulsive medieval music on bagpipes and drums. Their repertoire involves both beating rhythms and danceable medieval melodies, traditional folk tunes from all over the world as well as original compositions. With their unique playfulness Koenix inspires people to jolly dancing and with their amusing anecdotes and ancient tales they fascinate their audience over and over again.
Koenix was founded in 2008 as an acoustic project of the medieval rock band 'Des Koenigs Halunken' and has performed at Swiss and international medieval events and folk festivals.
